What needs a little attention?

Making room to hear each other

Less talking
past each other.

We can look at recurring arguments, different expectations and the conversations that seem to go nowhere.

Understanding what has changed

When closeness
feels far away.

There is space to talk about trust, intimacy, hurts and boundaries, and what each person wants to understand.

Finding a way to talk

Life changes.
Relationships do too.

Parenting, separation or uncertainty about staying together can bring different needs into focus. We can talk about those differences.

Your partner isn’t
ready yet?

You can begin on your own. We can discuss your experience, who might take part and whether joint sessions would be suitable.

Alternative relationships

More than two?
There’s room.

Counselling is available for throuples, alternative relationships and other multi-partner relationships. Conversations can include agreements, boundaries, communication and how time and attention are shared. Each person may have different hopes for counselling.

Before we meet, we can discuss who would participate and how individual and shared conversations would work. We will also talk about confidentiality and how information is handled between the people involved.

First, a conversation.
Then, a next step.

Each partner is invited to an individual session before couple work can begin. These sessions are separate from the free 15-minute consultation. We discuss safety, confidentiality and whether joint sessions are appropriate.

Before we meet.

How does Wayne work?

Imago dialogue gives a conversation structure: one person speaks while the other listens and checks their understanding before responding. Narrative work explores the stories and expectations shaping the relationship, including wider family and life contexts.

Can we ask about family counselling?

Yes. Wayne works with families with adult children and families with children over 16. Discuss who would attend and the circumstances before booking.

Where can we attend?

In-person appointments are available in Surry Hills and Petersham, Sydney. Individual counselling is also available online. Check other service arrangements with Wayne before booking.
